SD Customs Terms and Conditions

Effective date: [[PUBLICATION DATE]]

These terms cover custom teamwear, personalisation and design services ordered through SD Customs. They do not replace the separate terms for other products sold in our shop. Please read and save a copy before ordering.

1. Who you are buying from

SD Customs is operated by Speedsoft Direct LTD, referred to in these terms as “we”, “us” or “our”.

  • Company registration number: [[COMPANY NUMBER]].
  • Registered in: [[COUNTRY OF REGISTRATION]].
  • Registered office: [[CONFIRMED REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]].
  • Business correspondence and returns address: 1 Infirmary Road, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, WF13 2JG, United Kingdom.
  • Email: info@speedsoftdirect.co.uk .
  • Website: speedsoftdirect.co.uk .

We are not VAT registered and do not add VAT to our charges. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).

2. Your order and our agreement

Your order specification includes the selected products, quantities, sizes, personalisation, approved artwork and any requirements we agree in writing. Please check these details before submitting or approving them. If you order for a team or another person, you must have their authority to provide their details and approve their requirements.

Submitting a request creates an order proposal. We accept it when we send written confirmation that we have accepted the relevant order or service. An automated acknowledgement or payment receipt alone is not acceptance unless it expressly says so. If we cannot accept an order, we will explain and refund any payment taken for it.

We will confirm the agreed specification, charges and delivery arrangements in a form you can keep. An order-specific change to these terms requires our agreement and yours. We will not substitute a materially different product, change an accepted price or alter an approved design without your agreement.

3. Prices and payment stages

Design work, products and UK-to-customer delivery are separate charges. Your quotation or checkout will identify what each payment covers. Payment for a design service does not also pay for the garments or delivery.

  • The “Create my custom design” service costs £35 and includes two revision rounds unless a different package is expressly agreed before purchase.
  • Product and package prices are shown for your selected specification. Product payment is required before production is released.
  • Customer delivery is charged separately and must be paid before dispatch.

We will disclose compulsory charges before you commit to an order. Where a delivery charge cannot reasonably be calculated in advance, we will explain how it is calculated and that it is payable, then obtain your agreement to the final quote. We will not add optional extras without your express agreement.

Any agreed sponsored-team discount applies only to the products or packages stated in the offer. Design and delivery remain payable in full unless the offer expressly says otherwise. A price error will be referred to you for agreement before acceptance; you may decline the corrected offer and receive a refund.

4. Design work and revisions

Please provide a clear brief and any required logos, colours, names, numbers and references. A revision round means one consolidated set of changes to the current proof. Correcting our mistakes or bringing the work into line with the agreed brief does not use up your paid revision allowance.

A substantially new brief or extra revision work may require a further quotation. We will agree the scope and cost with you before doing chargeable additional work. We will carry out design services with reasonable care and skill.

A proof is supplied for review and production approval. Editable source files, exclusive rights or an assignment of copyright in a design we create are included only where expressly agreed in writing. You retain your rights in material you supply.

5. Uploading your own artwork

The upload-your-own artwork option accepts Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Adobe Photoshop (.psd) source files only. The upload limits displayed in the portal apply. Renaming another file format does not make it an AI or PSD file.

Files must open correctly and contain the artwork needed for the agreed product. We may request missing linked assets, suitable fonts or revised artwork where necessary for printing. Any paid artwork preparation will be quoted and agreed first.

You must own, or have permission to use, submitted artwork, logos, trademarks, photographs and other material for the requested order. You give us permission to use and share that material with our design and manufacturing providers only as needed to carry out your order. These terms do not give us permission to use your artwork or personal details in marketing.

If there is a reasonable concern about unlawful content or third-party rights, we may pause the affected work and ask for clarification. We will explain any proposed cancellation and deal fairly with payments for work or products not supplied.

6. Sizes, proofs and approval

Available size choices are XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL where offered for the selected product. Check the relevant size information and measurements; a size label alone does not guarantee the same fit across different garments.

Before approval, check the design, spelling, names, numbers, quantities, sizes and placement of artwork. Tell us about an error or uncertainty before approving. Your approval records the specification we are authorised to produce.

Screen displays and fabric printing can reproduce colour differently. If an exact colour match or positioning requirement is essential, tell us before ordering so we can confirm whether it can be met. This does not permit material departures from the agreed description or specification.

Changes after approval may affect cost and timing. Contact us promptly; we will explain what remains possible and agree any additional charge before proceeding. Approval does not remove your rights where we make an error or supply faulty or incorrectly described goods.

7. Production and delivery

We will agree production and delivery arrangements with you before you are committed. Tell us before ordering if delivery by a particular event date is essential. Where a lead time depends on receiving your files, approval or payment, we will make that clear. A period longer than 30 days for delivery requires your agreement; otherwise the legal default applies.

We use manufacturing and delivery partners but remain responsible to you for fulfilling our contract. Supplier shipment to the UK and delivery from the UK to your address are different stages. A supplier tracking update is not confirmation of delivery to you.

Check your delivery address and contact us promptly about changes. Any reasonable additional delivery cost caused by an incorrect address you supplied will be explained and agreed where applicable. We will not charge you for correcting our own mistake.

We will tell you about significant delays and discuss a revised date or your cancellation and refund rights. If we miss an essential agreed deadline, refuse delivery, or fail to deliver within an appropriate extra period where one is required, you may end the affected contract as the law allows.

For delivery arranged by us, the goods remain at our risk until received by you or a person you nominate. Please report loss or damage to us so we can investigate; you do not have to resolve our courier's failure yourself.

8. Cancelling or changing your mind

Personalised and made-to-specification goods

The usual distance-selling change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as teamwear printed with your approved custom artwork. Choosing a standard size or stock option alone does not automatically make an item exempt.

Contact us if you want to cancel nevertheless. Where we agree cancellation outside a statutory right, any retained amount will reflect reasonable, evidenced loss caused by the cancellation, taking account of work avoided, savings and reasonable steps to reduce loss. Payments are not automatically forfeited in full. Your rights relating to faulty goods or our breach of contract remain.

Goods that qualify for change-of-mind cancellation

Tell us within 14 days beginning the day after you receive qualifying goods. For one order delivered separately, the period generally starts after the last item arrives. You then have 14 days to send them back. You may also cancel before delivery.

You pay the direct return cost for a change-of-mind return where this was disclosed before purchase. You may inspect goods as you would in a shop; a lawful deduction may be made for loss of value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

We refund the price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, without undue delay. The deadline is 14 days after cancellation, although we may wait until we receive the goods or evidence you sent them back, whichever is earlier. We use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

Design services

For a qualifying online service contract, you can cancel within 14 days beginning the day after the contract is made. We will start during this period only if you expressly request it. Acceptance of these terms alone is not that request.

If you then cancel before completion, we may charge proportionately for work supplied only where the required information and express request have been obtained. The cancellation right ends after full performance only if you previously requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence. The design fee is not automatically non-refundable.

How to cancel

Email info@speedsoftdirect.co.uk , write to our correspondence address, or make another clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the form below, but do not have to. Include your order reference if available.

9. Faults, incorrect items and service problems

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for an agreed purpose and match their description. These rights apply to personalised goods too. Consumers normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods, subject to the applicable legal rules. After that, repair or replacement and, where appropriate, a price reduction or rejection may be available.

For a faulty design service, you may be entitled to repeat performance or a price reduction. Contact us with your order details and an explanation. Photographs can help, but we will not make a particular form of evidence an unreasonable barrier to your rights.

We cover reasonable return costs where goods breach your statutory rights. Please contact us for return arrangements. No short reporting deadline in our process removes your legal rights. Damage caused solely by misuse or failure to follow suitable care instructions is not a manufacturing defect.

10. Your account and personal information

Keep your account credentials secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Provide accurate contact and order information and only submit other people's details where you are entitled to do so.

We use order information to manage design, payment, production, delivery and customer support. Necessary order information may be shared with service providers handling those tasks. Our separate Privacy Policy explains our processing, recipients, retention and your rights. These terms do not replace that policy or create consent to marketing.

11. Responsibility and events outside our control

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing here reduces your mandatory consumer rights.

If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order, we will tell you and take reasonable steps to limit the disruption. This does not give us an unlimited right to delay delivery, keep money for an unfulfilled order or remove your legal cancellation remedies.

12. Complaints, applicable law and changes

Send complaints to info@speedsoftdirect.co.uk with your order reference and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and explain our response. Where a complaint remains unresolved, we will provide any information about alternative dispute resolution required by law, including whether we will participate.

English and Welsh law governs these terms, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law, including their home courts where permitted.

The version agreed when we accept your order applies to that order. Later website updates do not retrospectively change it without your agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as they can fairly operate. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not remove either party's rights.

13. Optional cancellation form

Use this only if you wish to cancel a contract for which cancellation is available. Copy and complete it, then email or post it to us.
